How to Measure a Volleyball Net with a Net Height Chain

1. Locate the Center of the Net
   Stand at the middle of the court and find the center point of the net.

2. Attach the Chain to the Top of the Net
   Hook the top of the net height chain to the top of the net tape at the center.

3. Let the Chain Hang Freely
   Allow the chain to hang straight down without touching the net or being pulled.

4. Read the Measurement
   Check where the bottom of the net height chain aligns with the court surface. The chain will have markings for standard heights:

   • Men’s net: 7 feet 11 ⅝ inches (2.43 m)
   • Women’s net: 7 feet 4 ¼ inches (2.24 m)

    

5. Repeat at the Sides
   Move to each sideline and repeat the process to ensure the net is level across the court.
6. Adjust if Needed
   If the net is too high or low at any point, adjust the tension or height using the net posts or crank system.
